Smaller dance
floor-packs easily. Drummer usually plays the in-house
drums unless arranged prior. Good PA and sound guy (cool
guy). He can record the band live and give you a CD, which
is cool. Bring a fan, it gets hot on stage! |

Barely Okay |
| Comments: |
The "stage" is a corner
stage in the restaurant and would be better considered
a "performance area". Load in has to be done
by 4:00pm because it's a pretty spendy fine-dining mom
& pop restaurant. Load in is through the front door
and they clear tables to produce a dance floor. The
stage has brass railings around it.

One of my
favorite rooms to play. They also have good food.
On-stage power is kinda marginal for such a large room.
The lighting system uses all of the available 220. Better
plug the PA into the wall outlet on the right of the stage
marked "MAINS", or you might have power problems
within the band. |

The rule is
you use their drum kit, no exceptions. Drummer can bring
his own beater and cymbals if desired. Drums are on a
riser behind a plexiglas wall - you can't hear them except
through your monitor. Monitors are run from a digital
side board but no dedicated operator - you have to flag
down the FOH operator and get him to make tweaks as needed.
They save your settings once you're happy, which takes
a while, but they're right back where you left off when
you go back. There are six monitor sends, which is probably
adequate for most. Mains are under the stage so the sound
seems muffled from above. They control the level to 90dB
at the FOH mix location, so it's not a very loud gig.
Motorized lights and video are awesome - you can even
have them make a video tape from the FOH board location.
Variety of ages in the crowd (only perspective is the
afternoon slot). Great green room with its own dressing
room and even a shower, right behind the stage. Band Rules
posted right there in the green room - no drinking, no
gambling, no having fun of any kind, just get your three
1-hour sets in, don't be late, and don't try to cut any
time. And be prepared to load out in under 30 minutes
so the next band can get in there in the same 30 minutes. |

You can bring your own p.a. as long
as you're done by 1:00pm, and it helps to augment the

It's good to have a room, any room,
on the circuit. Even another sports bar. This room is
a long drive from anywhere except Graham, with a stage
that is barely adequate for a 4 piece band. The way
it's laid out today, the room is not friendly to production.
The staff isn't real friendly to the idea of large production,
either. We made them happy by taking 1/2 of the stuff
we brought and putting it back in the trailer. It's
not that the room is that small, it's just that the
stage layout seeems to have been designed by a Karoke
crew...who later added on a springy 4' extension to
the stage so that the other bodies could be on stage
with a drum set.

This room
has no stage or dance floor, you basically set up by the
window, and as the music goes, people make room to dance.
It's a very small, very classy place, right on the golf
course. The crowd is very supportive and the staff is
the coolest of any place we've played, they're a blast
and will get right in on the action w/you. The budget
is very low, but is a great gig for a 3-piece band. They
only are going to have music in the summer, but it will
be both nights. They won't go above 700, and for most
bands it will probably be more like 600. Great food too....
